National Agency for Universal Telecommunications/ICT Service (ANSUT) is responsible for the digital transformation of Ivory Coast and the promotion of equitable access to telecommunications services.
The seven winners of the 2025 edition of the public speaking contest “The Linguistic Flame,” organized by the National Agency for Universal Telecommunications/ICT Service (ANSUT), were honored on Thursday, April 10, during a ceremony held at the agency’s headquarters in Abidjan.
In the presence of their families and the Director General of ANSUT, Gilles Thierry Beugré, the event highlighted how this contest reinforces the democratization of access to digital tools and underscores the strategic role of the agency in promoting excellence in Côte d’Ivoire.
The ceremony marked the culmination of an initiative launched on April 5 at INP-HB in Yamoussoukro, under the patronage of Minister Khalil Konaté, in charge of Digital Transition and Digitalization.
More than just words, the Director General expressed his commitment through tangible actions: each winner received a laptop, an internet box with a one-year DATA plan, a digital training scholarship at ISTC worth 500,000 FCFA, and a 250,000 FCFA support grant.
These prizes reflect the agency’s ambition to make digital technology a lever for empowerment, education, and competitiveness for younger generations.
Through this initiative, ANSUT showcases the relevance of its mission as a Universal ICT Service provider, ensuring fair access to digital services across the country, especially for youth from underprivileged backgrounds. The contest “La Flamme Linguistique” is thus becoming a vector of opportunity and a springboard for the future.
“What we are building here are the foundations of a strong, dynamic, and inclusive digital ecosystem. Excellence is a value we will continue to uphold, with concrete actions that speak to the youth,” said Gilles Thierry Beugré, also praising the candidates’ spirit of innovation.
As a continuation of this commitment, the Director General announced the launch in 2026 of the Special Prize “Digital Spark” (Étincelle Digitale), which will reward the most innovative digital projects led by young Ivorian talents. A new demonstration of ANSUT’s dedication to stimulating creativity, fostering tech entrepreneurship, and nurturing a new generation of digital leaders.
ANSUT thus reaffirms its expertise not only in deploying digital infrastructure but also in promoting digital culture and training for future-ready careers.
