Government Youth Program: 12,183 Young People Impacted in the Agnéby-Tiassa Region

Abidjan, April 17, 2025 – As part of the implementation of the 2023–2025 Government Youth Program, a total of 12,183 young people from the Agnéby-Tiassa region have benefited from the program. This was noted by Mamadou Touré, Minister for Youth Promotion, Professional Integration, and Civic Service, during his regional tour that began on April 14, 2025, to assess the impact of the government's initiatives on local youth.

Accompanied by Pierre Dimba, Minister of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage—who also serves as President of the Agnéby-Tiassa Regional Council—Minister Touré expressed satisfaction with the results achieved through the program in the region.

One success story is Adou Épouse Djiro Adouba Oaule Glawdys, a former bank branch manager who received funding of 54 million FCFA, enabling her to purchase a 1,000 m² site in the village of Etticoon and establish a vegetable processing business.

"It’s a dream come true. When I resigned from the bank where I was a branch manager, my friends thought I was crazy. But I believed in myself, in my project, and today, here is the result," she shared proudly.

In the Tiassalé department alone, 3,768 young people have found new hope and successfully integrated into the socio-economic fabric, thanks to support mechanisms such as income-generating activities (IGAs), training programs, internships, and funding for structuring projects, among others. According to Minister Touré, these youth are the living proof of the success of the Government Youth Program in this department.

In addition to these beneficiaries, the government plans to support 560 more young people in Tiassalé by the end of 2025, with an allocation of 197 million FCFA.

During his tour of the Agnéby-Tiassa region, Minister Mamadou Touré also visited the departments of Sikensi, Taabo, and Tiassalé.
