Budget Financing as of March 2025: 3,707 Billion CFA Mobilized, 115.8% of Projections
At the end of the first quarter of 2025, the resources mobilized to finance the State budget as of March 2025 amounted to a total of 3,707 billion CFA francs, compared to a forecast of 3,200.7 billion CFA francs, representing an achievement rate of 115.8%.
The information was made public by the Government Spokesperson, Amadou Coulibaly, during the press briefing following the Council of Ministers held on July 2, 2025.
These resources include 1,647.8 billion CFA francs in budgetary revenues comprising tax revenues, non-tax revenues, and grants—and 2,059.2 billion CFA francs in treasury resources.
Expenditures were executed at a total of 3,600.3 billion CFA francs, compared to a forecast of 3,241.6 billion CFA francs, resulting in an execution rate of 111.1%.
Investment expenditures, in particular, recorded an execution level of 640.8 billion CFA francs against a forecast of 781.4 billion CFA francs, corresponding to an execution rate of 82%.
As for expenditures aimed at poverty reduction and reducing social disparities, as well as specific social spending, they amounted to 898 billion CFA francs and 283.1 billion CFA francs respectively by the end of March 2025, both exceeding their respective minimum targets of 844.8 billion CFA francs and 244 billion CFA francs.
According to the government spokesperson, the execution of the State budget was marked by a relatively satisfactory revenue mobilization and effective control of budgetary expenditures, which remained within the planned limits.
