Ministry of Social Cohesion Launches Awareness Campaign for Peaceful Elections please shorten the title

The Ministry of Social Cohesion, Solidarity, and the Fight against Poverty, through the Observatory of Solidarity and Social Cohesion (OSCS), officially launched the awareness campaign for peaceful elections aimed at strengthening social cohesion in Côte d'Ivoire on Monday, October 14, 2024, in Abidjan-Cocody. The event was attended by representatives from the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI).

Given the negative experience of previous presidential elections and the concerning statements made by certain political leaders, the Ministry, under the leadership of Myss Belmonde Dogo, has taken proactive steps to prevent any potential confrontations during the 2025 Presidential Election.

“The Ministry seeks to create conditions for a peaceful election by urging Ivorians to speak the language of peace, cohesion, and fraternity,” explained Joël Yves Kouadio, Chief of Staff, representing Myss Belmonde Dogo. He added, “Ivorians must prioritize Côte d'Ivoire in the quest for state power.” He also handed over terms of reference to the 33 Regional Directors in attendance.

“We will meet with the people, inform them, and raise awareness for peaceful elections,” said Zadi Sesar, Regional Director of Social Cohesion, Solidarity, and the Fight against Poverty in Gboklè.
