Agriculture: Minister Bruno Koné reaffirms government support for producers

On Wednesday, February 18, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Food Crops, Bruno Nabagné Koné, visited Adzopé to meet with the leaders of the Yakassé-Attobrou Agricultural Cooperative (COOP-CO CAYAT) and gain a firsthand understanding of the daily realities and working conditions of local producers.

The discussions focused on the cooperative’s journey, challenges, and development prospects. During the visit, the Minister reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to supporting the women and men driving Ivorian agriculture, emphasizing its determination to sustainably improve their living and working conditions.

Impressed by the cooperative’s organization and performance, Minister Koné praised it as a model “worthy of recognition and replication.” He also congratulated Ms. Traoré Awa, CEO of COOP-CO CAYAT, and all 3,318 members for their outstanding work contributing to agricultural development.
