On Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Cabinet Conference Room, Mrs. Nialé KABA, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, signed a contract with Mr. CHEN CHEN, Chief Executive Officer of Golden Apple Building Works Contractor, an Ethiopia-based company, for the construction of the Chancery and the Ambassador’s Residence of Côte d'Ivoire in Addis Ababa.
On this occasion, the Minister of State emphasized that the contract is part of the implementation of the vision of the President of the Republic, H.E. Alassane OUATTARA, to provide Côte d'Ivoire’s diplomatic missions abroad with modern properties that meet international standards, thereby offering Ivorian diplomats working and living environments that reflect the country's ambitions.
The project represents a major milestone for Côte d'Ivoire’s diplomatic mission in Ethiopia, which serves not only as the country's Permanent Mission to the African Union but also oversees a large part of East Africa. It will help strengthen Côte d'Ivoire’s international presence, further enhance its image within the African community, and ultimately generate substantial savings by reducing rental expenses.
For his part, Mr. CHEN CHEN, Chief Executive Officer of Golden Apple Building Works Contractor, pledged to complete the project within the agreed timeframe and in full compliance with professional standards, while strictly adhering to the terms of the contract.
