Côte d’Ivoire has been selected as one of the 12 beneficiary countries of the Accelerator Program 2.0 launched by the World Bank. This announcement was made on the sidelines of the International Conference on Learning held on November 13, 2024, in Kigali, Rwanda.
The program aims to accelerate the improvement of education systems to achieve better learning outcomes. Côte d’Ivoire will benefit from technical support to assist teachers in implementing the National Program for the Improvement of Early School Learning (PNAPAS).
Expressing gratitude for the World Bank’s initiatives in favor of Côte d’Ivoire, Minister Mariatou Koné, who presided over the ceremony, highlighted that this program supports states in building endogenous capacities to design effective fundamental learning programs.
In addition to Côte d’Ivoire, other beneficiary countries include Ghana, Senegal, Malawi, the Central African Republic, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Madagascar, and Eswatini.
