The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Côte d’Ivoire and the Consulate General of France have signed a new partnership agreement aimed at facilitating the mobility of Ivorian teachers, researchers, and administrative staff for short-term missions in France.
According to officials, the agreement addresses a long-standing challenge: difficulties in obtaining visas, which have often hindered the participation of academic actors in cooperation, training, and research programs between the two countries.
The new arrangement is designed to simplify administrative procedures in order to ease mobility for beneficiaries, particularly within the framework of the Debt Reduction and Development Contract (C2D3) and other bilateral academic and scientific cooperation initiatives.
Both parties believe this development will strengthen cooperation in higher education and research by promoting academic exchanges, skills sharing, and more effective implementation of joint projects.
The agreement is part of a broader effort to deepen educational and scientific ties between Côte d’Ivoire and France, with the aim of improving knowledge circulation and supporting applied research development.
