Côte d’Ivoire’s Gender Policy (PNEEG 2024-2030): 3.1 Billion CFA Francs Implementation Cost

The implementation of the National Policy on Equality, Equity, and Gender in Côte d’Ivoire (PNEEG 2024-2030) is estimated at 3.1 billion CFA francs, announced the government spokesperson, Amadou Coulibaly, at the end of the Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan-Plateau.

“The national framework of the PNEEG, which brings together several cross-cutting structures, will be led by a steering body called the National Council for the Promotion of Gender (CNG), chaired by the President of the Republic,” stated Amadou Coulibaly.

For the mobilization and scheduling of disbursements of funding expected from technical and financial partners, he announced that a donors' conference will be organized soon, in collaboration with UN Women Côte d’Ivoire, which has been selected to coordinate the contributions.

The PNEEG, initiated by the government with the participation of all stakeholders, aims at two main objectives: the effective integration of gender in all sectors of public and private life, and the change of mindsets and behaviors among the population to promote respect for the rights of women and men, girls and boys, in their specificities.

It is structured around three major pillars: the institutionalization of gender in all areas, the promotion of inclusive economic and financial development, and the establishment of institutional mechanisms to promote equity and gender equality.
