The Investment Promotion Center of Côte d’Ivoire (CEPICI) took part on Monday, January 12, 2026, in the official launch of the U.S.–Africa Mortgage Market Initiative (AMMI-US) in Abidjan. The institution was represented by its Director General, Mrs. Solange Amichia.
Launched in partnership with the Embassy of the United States in Côte d’Ivoire, the initiative aims to support the development of sustainable and inclusive mortgage markets across Africa, with a focus on large-scale housing finance.
The launch ceremony brought together government officials, diplomatic representatives, and private sector stakeholders, highlighting the interest of Ivorian authorities and international partners in addressing housing finance challenges.
According to the organizers, AMMI-US seeks to strengthen the capacities of local financial institutions, attract private investment into the real estate sector, and promote mortgage financing mechanisms aligned with international standards. The initiative forms part of broader cooperation efforts between the United States and African countries to structure and deepen mortgage markets.
CEPICI’s participation in the event is in line with its mandate to promote investment and improve the business climate in Côte d’Ivoire. Through its involvement, the institution reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the country’s attractiveness, particularly in strategic sectors such as housing and real estate.
Facing rapid urbanization and a growing demand for housing, Côte d’Ivoire has identified the development of housing finance as a priority. The launch of the AMMI-US initiative could contribute to ongoing national efforts to expand access to housing and support economic development.
