NSIA Bank Côte d’Ivoire has secured access to a €100 million syndicated credit facility, equivalent to approximately CFAF 65.6 billion, to expand financing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and support energy transition projects.
The facility is led by Citi, with participation from FinDev Canada and KEXIM Global (Singapore) Ltd. FinDev Canada is contributing €40 million through a loan to NSIA Banque.
Under the agreement, 50% of FinDev Canada’s contribution, or €20 million, will be allocated to SME financing. This includes €12 million for businesses owned or led by women, representing 30% of the Canadian institution’s loan.
The remaining €20 million will support climate-related investments, including solar photovoltaic projects and energy-efficiency initiatives in commercial, industrial and office buildings.
Announced by FinDev Canada on August 6, 2026, and highlighted by NSIA Bank on October 27, the financing is intended to improve access to credit for Ivorian businesses while supporting investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The funds will be channelled through NSIA Bank to eligible businesses and projects. The facility is therefore a loan to the bank, rather than a direct grant to SMEs.
