On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the Mondoukou Toll Station was officially inaugurated in a ceremony led by Mr. Yacouba Hien Sié, Minister of Infrastructure and Road Maintenance. The event was attended by prominent figures, including Mr. Jean-Louis Moulot, Minister Delegate in charge of Technical Education, Mr. Thomas Camara, Chairman of the Board of the Road Maintenance Fund (FER), and Ms. Annick Tohe Lasmel, Director General of FER, alongside local administrative, political, and traditional authorities.
Following a technical inspection and inaugural passage, the Minister urged road users to respect and preserve the infrastructure, emphasizing that paying the toll is a civic duty essential for supporting the national road development policy spearheaded by President H.E. Alassane Ouattara.
The Mondoukou Toll Station features eight lanes, divided into four lanes in each direction, including six reversible lanes, ensuring smooth traffic flow.
This infrastructure is part of the national strategy to modernize Côte d’Ivoire’s road network and secure sustainable funding for its maintenance.
