A project led by Dr. Anoh Nogbou Georges, a lecturer-researcher at the Virtual University of Côte d’Ivoire (Université virtuelle de Côte d’Ivoire), has been awarded at the 12th edition of the ASCAD research grant ceremony held on April 23, 2026, at ENSEA in Abidjan.
The innovative project focuses on designing an intelligent system based on connected objects (IoT) to protect crops, highlighting the university’s ability to develop practical technological solutions for agricultural development and food security in Côte d’Ivoire.
The project won 3rd prize, receiving a grant of 3 million CFA francs.
This recognition highlights the quality of research conducted at UVCI, as well as the commitment and excellence of Dr. Anoh and his team.
The laureate also thanked Professors Koné Tiémoman and Fernand Kouamé, President and Vice-President of UVCI, for their support and trust in promoting digital innovation for the community, including the “Projet Voisinage” initiative.
