The General Commissariat of the Anoumabo Urban Music Festival was received in audience by the Minister of Culture and Francophonie, Françoise Remarck, as part of the preparations for the 18th edition of this major African music event.
During the meeting, the Commissariat presented, as is customary, the key highlights of the upcoming edition. Discussions focused on both artistic and organizational aspects, with particular emphasis on the innovations planned for this year.
Created by the group Magic System, The Anoumabo Urban Music Festival is more than just a music festival. It serves as a cultural and social platform aimed at promoting African urban music, empowering youth, and raising awareness on key issues such as education, health, and civic responsibility. Through concerts, panels, and social initiatives, the festival also contributes to local development, notably through the construction of community infrastructure.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to fine-tune the final details ahead of the official launch conference. This event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 at 5 p.m. at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, where the full program of FEMUA 18 will be unveiled.
Through this process, the organizers aim to maintain the high standards and professionalism that have built the festival’s reputation, while further strengthening its cultural and social impact in Côte d’Ivoire and beyond.
