Food Security: Minister Bruno Koné Participates in High-Level Session in Nairobi

On the sidelines of the “Africa Forward 2026” summit taking place in Nairobi, Kenya, Bruno Nabagné Koné participated on Tuesday, May 12, in a high-level session dedicated to strengthening sustainable agricultural and food systems in Africa.

Chaired by Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, the roundtable brought together several heads of state and government, institutional leaders, international partners, and key development stakeholders around a major challenge for the continent: building a resilient agricultural sector capable of ensuring Africa’s food sovereignty.

Discussions focused on several strategic priorities, including the sustainable intensification of agricultural production, the promotion of local value chains, the strengthening of rural infrastructure, and the harmonization of regional agricultural policies aimed at accelerating the structural transformation of Africa’s agricultural sector.
