Ivorian–Canadian Cooperation: Minister Adama Coulibaly and Canada’s New Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire Discuss New Opportunities
The Minister of Economy, Finance and Budget, Adama Coulibaly, received the new Ambassador of Canada to Côte d’Ivoire, Sandra Choufani, for a courtesy visit on Friday, February 13, 2026, at his office in Plateau.
During the meeting, the Canadian diplomat congratulated the Minister on his recent reappointment and discussed prospects for strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.
“The Minister was recently reappointed in the new Government. Through this courtesy visit, I came to greet him and congratulate him on his reappointment. This is our first meeting since my recent arrival in Côte d’Ivoire. We also discussed several opportunities that we can seize to expand trade relations between Côte d’Ivoire and Canada,” she stated.
Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to consolidating an already strong cooperation framework and exploring new partnership opportunities aimed at further enhancing bilateral economic ties.
