The Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Energy, through the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons, has published the schedule of maximum retail prices for petroleum products applicable across the national territory for the period from 1 to 28 February 2026. The official notice, issued in Abidjan on 30 January 2026, outlines regulated prices at both national level and within the District of Abidjan.
At the national level, the price of unleaded petrol is set at 820 CFA francs per litre at ambient temperature, reflecting a slight decrease compared to previous periods. Diesel fuel, which is the most widely used by transport operators and private consumers, remains unchanged at 675 CFA francs per litre. Kerosene is maintained at 705 CFA francs per litre, also at ambient temperature.
Regarding butane gas, maximum prices vary according to cylinder size. The 6 kg cylinder is priced at 2,000 CFA francs, the 12.5 kg cylinder at 5,200 CFA francs, the 15 kg cylinder at 6,965 CFA francs, the 17.5 kg cylinder at 8,125 CFA francs, the 25 kg cylinder at 11,610 CFA francs, and the 28 kg cylinder at 13,000 CFA francs.
The document also specifies prices applicable within the District of Abidjan. DDO is set at 593 CFA francs per kilogram, while tax-exempt DDO is fixed at 519 CFA francs per kilogram. Fuel oil 180 is priced at 390 CFA francs per kilogram. Industrial bulk butane is sold at 541.928 CFA francs per kilogram, a rate that also applies to gas cylinders weighing more than 28 kg.
The Ministry recalls that these prices must be clearly displayed throughout the entire validity period. Any violation of the regulated prices will expose offenders to the sanctions provided for under the current regulations.
This pricing framework aims to ensure price transparency, protect consumers, and maintain stability in the petroleum products market across Côte d’Ivoire.
