The Minister of Health, Pierre N’gou Dimba, and Mr. Domenico Giani, President of the ENI Foundation, signed on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, a three-year Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening Côte d’Ivoire’s healthcare system.
“I would like to reaffirm the government’s determination to fully support the implementation of this partnership in a spirit of transparency, efficiency, and sustainable impact,” said Minister Pierre N’gou Dimba.
Under this agreement, the ENI Foundation commits to several initiatives, including infrastructure development, professional training, improved access to basic healthcare, promotion of community health, and support for prevention programs.
Valued at up to €3 million (approximately 1.8 billion CFA francs), the project will be implemented over a period of three years.
According to Domenico Giani, the ENI Foundation’s mission is to act as a catalyst for change, focusing its efforts on those most in need, particularly mothers and children. This partnership will allow the foundation to share the Italian model experience, already implemented in 13 African countries including Ghana, Rwanda, and Guinea-Bissau.
This approach is expected to play a key role in mobilizing additional resources, introducing innovations, and supporting targeted initiatives for vulnerable populations in Côte d’Ivoire.
The ENI Foundation operates in three key areas: education, health, and culture.
