The pre-congress of the Bélier region concluded on June 1, 2025, with a closing rally held at Gabriel Tiacoh Square in Toumodi. On this occasion, the head of the delegation, Minister Delegate for Sports and Living Environment, Adjé Silas Metch, praised the strong mobilization of RHDP (Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace) supporters.
This turnout, Minister Metch explained, is proof of the vitality of President Alassane Ouattara’s party in the Bélier region. He said he was not surprised by the support shown by the local population for the development initiatives led by President Ouattara, who was born in this region.
The presidential party’s envoy commended the Head of State’s development achievements since taking office. “Alassane Ouattara’s track record is outstanding — with his charisma and seriousness, he is our compass,” said the party representative.
Minister Metch spared no praise for President Alassane Ouattara, describing him as a blessing for Côte d’Ivoire, a recognized brand serving development. He emphasized that, as a structured, disciplined, high-performing, and ambitious political organization, the RHDP has a sacred duty to engage in rigorous self-reflection — which, he said, is the purpose of organizing pre-congresses throughout the country.
These gatherings, the envoy highlighted, aim to gauge the vital and energizing opinions of RHDP members across the entire national territory. The ruling party figure again thanked the leaders and people of the Bélier Region for their mobilization. “This day will surely be inscribed in golden letters in the precious marble of the collective history of the Bélier region. I must express my immense joy at being in the heart of this city of Bélier,” he said.
Minister Adjé Silas Metch expressed pride and happiness over the enthusiasm of the day, inspired by an ideal embodied by President Alassane Ouattara, whose work ethic sets him apart. The speaker recalled that the Head of State has repositioned Côte d’Ivoire among the respected nations and elevated the country to one whose voice matters in the world.
Minister Metch called on Bélier region supporters to rally for the congress scheduled for June 21 and 22, which will result in the nomination of the RHDP candidate for the presidential election of October 25, 2025.
As president of the pre-congress, Ahoussou Kouadio Jeannot welcomed the strong mobilization of RHDP members in the region, stating that this turnout is clear evidence of the party’s deep roots in the area. “The true Houphouëtists are in the RHDP,” declared President Ahoussou Jeannot.
The closing rally featured several motions. All of them praised President Ouattara’s development initiatives and expressed the wish that he be named the RHDP’s candidate for the upcoming presidential election, to continue his development efforts.
