The Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources, Sidi Tiémoko Touré, held a working session on Thursday, May 28, 2026, with the Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to the United States, Ibrahima Touré, as well as a delegation from Next Sustainable Initiatives (NSI), the organization behind the SELAB-Livestock Show 2026.
The meeting took place as part of preparations for the 2026 edition of the livestock production exhibition, scheduled for November 20 to 22 at the Palais des Sports in Treichville.
Discussions focused on key organizational aspects of the event, with particular emphasis on the participation of the United States as the guest country of honor. The talks also explored strategies to strengthen the attractiveness of the show for American companies interested in building strategic partnerships with Côte d’Ivoire’s livestock sector.
According to NSI, the SELAB-Livestock Show 2026 aims to open new market opportunities, improve the competitiveness of national value chains, and support the sustainable modernization of Côte d’Ivoire’s livestock industry.
The Minister welcomed the mobilization efforts of all stakeholders and encouraged them to position the event as a major platform for exchange and opportunity between public actors, investors, and stakeholders in the animal and fisheries sectors.
