Social Inclusion and Energy Cooperation: Minister of State Nialé KABA Secures Adoption of Two Bills

On Tuesday, March 25, 2026, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mrs. Nialé KABA, presented two bills to the Commission on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly. These bills concern the ratification of international agreements.

The first bill relates to the protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights concerning the rights of persons with disabilities in Africa, reflecting Côte d’Ivoire’s commitment to social inclusion and adherence to international standards.

The second bill concerns the Agreement establishing the African Energy Bank, demonstrating Côte d’Ivoire’s active commitment to continental energy cooperation and sustainable development.

After deliberations, both bills were adopted unanimously by the deputies of the Commission, highlighting the National Assembly’s cohesion around Côte d’Ivoire’s international commitments.

Following the vote, H.E. Mrs. Nialé KABA expressed her satisfaction with the unanimous adoption of these texts, emphasizing that they serve as essential tools for national development. The Minister concluded by thanking the honorable deputies for their ongoing commitment alongside President H.E.M. Alassane OUATTARA in building a united, inclusive, and prosperous Côte d’Ivoire.
