BHCI: Desirée Eliane Yacé Resigns; Karna Patrice Coulibaly Appointed Interim CEO

Desirée Eliane Yacé, née Ouassenan, has resigned from her position as CEO of Banque de l'Habitat de Côte d'Ivoire (BHCI). The announcement was made in a statement released on Friday, August 23, 2024.

According to the statement, Yacé decided to end her tenure to explore new professional opportunities. The board of directors accepted her resignation and expressed gratitude for her significant contributions to the bank’s recovery, wishing her success in her future endeavors.

In response to her resignation, the board has appointed Karna Patrice Coulibaly, Deputy General Manager, as the interim CEO of the bank.

Additionally, the board has approved statutory amendments to increase the bank’s capital to 28,235,000,000 CFA francs. This resolution represents a "pivotal step" in the bank's restructuring and revitalization process, which began in 2019 following the institution's takeover by the Ivorian government.
