1st South Korea – Africa Summit: Côte d'Ivoire Secures $1 Billion Funding from South Korea

During the 1st South Korea – Africa Summit, held in Seoul, South Korea, the Minister of Financeand Budget, Adama Coulibaly, and the Minister of Economy, Planning, and Development, Kaba Nialé, co-signed, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, an agreement framework with the South Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cho Tae-yul. This agreement pertains to loans from the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund.

This agreement enables Côte d'Ivoire to receive funding totaling $1 billion, approximately 600 billion FCFA, for the implementation of various development projects over the period 2024-2028.
