Travelogue of the Refurbishment of the Liaison Yopougon-Road of Dabou

Accompanied by his colleague Koffi N'guessan, Amédé Koffi Kouakou, Minister of Equipment and Road Maintenance, conducted a site visit on July 18, 2024, in Yopougon (Abidjan) to inspect the ongoing works for reinforcement and expansion of the sand junction - Dabou road connection.

At the conclusion of the visit, the minister stated that these works, covering a length of 4 kilometers, have achieved a 75% execution rate. "We are satisfied with the project's execution level," he noted.

Amédé Kouakou pointed out that challenges persist, hindering the smooth progress of the works. "On this site, we face significant challenges due to encroachments by local populations and disorderly occupation of completed sections by traders. Additionally, the drainage channels are filled with garbage," lamented the minister.

Launched on August 5, 2021, the works on the sand junction - Dabou road will facilitate easier access to the western exit of Abidjan through the interior of Yopougon commune.

This transformative project aims to improve traffic flow in Greater Abidjan and alleviate congestion on the sand junction - Dabou road link.
