Côte d'Ivoire Achieves 85.5% Reform Implementation Rate in 2023

Côte d'Ivoire  has bolstered its performance with a highly satisfactory reform implementation rate of 85.5% in 2023, marking an increase from 127 reforms evaluated in 2022 to 131 by the end of the year, announced Abdoulaye Diop, President of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) Commission.

He made these remarks during the political phase of the 9th Annual Review of community reforms, policies, programs, and projects of UEMOA in Ivory Coast, held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in Abidjan-Plateau. The event was presided over by Minister of Finance and Budget, Adama Coulibaly, and attended by several government officials.

"The 2023 edition of the annual review reveals overall satisfactory results, despite observed risks at international and sub-regional levels," stated Adama Coulibaly, expressing satisfaction with the outcomes.

He reiterated "the commitment of authorities and all national stakeholders to continue the process of implementing community reforms, to adhere to recommendations addressed to the government, and to actively participate in all initiatives aimed at strengthening regional integration."

According to the minister, "this review also significantly enhances the competitiveness and attractiveness of Union countries, thereby developing the economic growth potential necessary for job creation."
