On December 1st, we observe World AIDS Day, a time to reflect on the ongoing global effort to fight HIV/AIDS. This year, we celebrate 21 years of dedication from The U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in the battle against HIV. Currently, PEPFAR is providing life-saving treatments to over 20 million people across 55 countries.
In Côte d'Ivoire, PEPFAR organized a 5-kilometer solidarity walk to raise funds for a local orphanage that supports vulnerable children and orphans. The event serves as a reminder that, through collective action, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by HIV and AIDS.
Let us continue to work together to create a world where no one is left behind in the fight against HIV.
