We are looking for an experienced Communications & Public Affairs Manager to support Kaspersky’s growth and visibility across North, West & Central Africa.
The role combines Corporate Communications and Institutional / Public Affairs relations, requiring strong strategic thinking, excellent editorial skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with media, public institutions, regulators and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Communications
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute the regional communications strategy aligned with business priorities.
- Ensure consistent messaging across North, West and Central Africa;
- Identify relevant angles, topics and trends related to cybersecurity, technology and digital transformation.
Media Relations & Content
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key medias across the region;
- Oversee the localization of content assets (press releases, op-eds, Q&As, media pitches)
- Prepare spokesperson briefings;
- Attend & coordinate regional press tours, interviews, press conferences and media events.
Digital & Social Media Support
- Support regional digital activations and local amplification of corporate campaigns;
- Collaborate with global content teams to ensure relevance and localization.
Projects & Events
- Manage communication support for regional events, conferences and strategic projects;
- Coordinate cross-functional work with Global Marketing, Sales, R&D and other CorpComms teams.
Public Affairs & Institutional Relations
Stakeholder Engagement
- Map key stakeholders in the NWCA region: public institutions, cybersecurity agencies, regulators, industry bodies, think tanks and NGOs;
- Support the development of long-term relationships with decision-makers.
Policy Monitoring & Analysis
- Monitor regulatory and policy developments related to cybersecurity, data protection, AI and digital governance;
- Draft policy briefs, notes, talking points and strategic recommendations.
Public Sector Projects & Partnerships
- Assist in building meaningful partnerships with government bodies and public-sector organizations;
- Support the preparation of institutional meetings, workshops and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Thought Leadership
- Contribute to the creation of public affairs content: reports, presentations, speeches;
- Help position the company as a trusted expert on cybersecurity and digital resilience across the region.
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Political Science, Journalism or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years in communications, public affairs or corporate relations roles;
- Proven experience in media relations and content creation;
- Experience dealing with government, regulators or public institutions is a strong asset;
- Experience in tech, cybersecurity, telecoms or related industries is a plus;
- Experience working with African markets;
- Multinational experience is a plus;
- Fluent French and English (mandatory);
- Additional African language or Arabic considered a plus;
- Strong understanding of PR/communications best practices;
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills;
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into accessible messages;
- Strategic mindset and strong stakeholder management;
- Comfortable working in multicultural environments
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel within the NWCA region for events, media engagements and institutional meetings.
