The national football team of Ivory Coast, the Elephants, will travel to England at the end of March 2026 to play two international friendly matches as part of their preparation for the 2026 World Cup.
The first match will see Ivory Coast face South Korea on March 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm Ivorian time, in a city near London. This game will give the Elephants an opportunity to test their teamwork and refine their strategy against a competitive Asian team also preparing for the World Cup.
The second match is scheduled against Scotland on March 31, 2026, at 7:30 pm Ivorian time, at Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool. This match will allow the Ivorian team to face an experienced European side under conditions similar to those they will encounter at the World Cup.
These two matches are part of the national team’s preparation program, led by the head coach, to fine-tune tactics, evaluate players, and strengthen team cohesion before traveling to the tournament in North America. Playing friendlies in Europe also provides the advantage of competing on similar pitches and against teams that reflect the high level of competition expected at the World Cup.
The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has confirmed that all selected players will participate, and fans hope these matches will help the Elephants build confidence and improve their game ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
