Côte d’Ivoire’s national football team, the Elephants, received a spectacular welcome upon their arrival in the United States as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In a festive atmosphere filled with orange, white, and green colors, Ivorian supporters and members of the diaspora turned out in large numbers to give Emerse Faé’s men a warm ovation.
To the sound of drums, traditional songs, and dances, the arrival of the Ivorian delegation quickly transformed into a true celebration. Several supporters dressed in the national colors took pictures with the players, who appeared visibly touched by the enthusiasm and support.
The images reflect the incredible excitement surrounding the three-time African champions. Some members of the Ivorian community in the United States even organized a symbolic traditional ceremony to welcome the team and wish them success ahead of the tournament.
This strong mobilization highlights the huge expectations surrounding the Elephants before their World Cup campaign begins. Following their historic friendly victory against France, confidence and excitement continue to grow around the Ivorian national team.
Now based in the Philadelphia area, Côte d’Ivoire is continuing its preparations at its training camp, including one final friendly match before the official start of the competition.
More than just a football team, the Elephants have become a symbol of national pride for an entire diaspora already ready to turn American stadiums into Ivorian territory. 🇨🇮
