The Head of State’s meetings in Nairobi

On Monday, May 11, 2026, in Nairobi, the President of the Republic, H.E. Alassane Ouattara, held successive meetings with the Chairwoman of the Air France KLM Group, Mrs. Florence Parly, the President of the Refoundation of the Republic of Madagascar, Colonel Michael Randrianirina, and the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Mrs. Kristalina Georgieva.

Discussions with the Chairwoman of the Air France KLM Group, Mrs. Florence Parly, provided an overview of the airline’s activities in Côte d’Ivoire as well as cooperation between Air France and the national airline, Air Côte d’Ivoire.

The meeting with the President of the Refoundation of the Republic of Madagascar, Colonel Michael Randrianirina, offered an opportunity for both Heads of State to discuss prospects for strengthening cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and Madagascar, as well as regional and international issues, particularly matters of peace, security, and development in Africa.

The meeting with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Mrs. Kristalina Georgieva, focused on the IMF’s commendation of Côte d’Ivoire’s Economic and Financial Program supported by the Institution, as well as the resilience and performance of the Ivorian economy despite multiple shocks.

It should be noted that the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mrs. Nialé Kaba, the Minister and Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic, Mr. Fidèle Sarassoro, the Minister of Economy, Finance and Budget, Mr. Adama Coulibaly, the Minister of Culture and Francophonie, Mrs. Françoise Remarck, and the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Mrs. Masséré Touré-Koné, took part in these meetings.
