61st Edition of SIA: Minister Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani Explores New Market Opportunities for Locally Processed Agricultural Products
Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, Minister of State for Agriculture, Rural Development, and Food Production, led a strong Ivorian delegation to the 61st edition of the International Agricultural Show in Paris (SIA 2025), taking place from February 22 to March 2, 2025, at the Parc des Expositions in Porte de Versailles.
One of the main goals for Côte d'Ivoire at this event is to explore new markets for locally processed agricultural products. This initiative is reflected in the significant participation of various cooperatives, agricultural interprofessional organizations, and private companies specializing in processing.
As an agricultural powerhouse, Côte d'Ivoire plays an active role at this international event dedicated to agriculture professionals. The aim is to showcase the country’s agricultural, animal, fisheries, and forestry potentials on the global stage.
This year, the focus is particularly on food sovereignty while preserving the environment. "I want this year to focus on our capacity to achieve food sovereignty. The commitments we are making alongside our partners are aligned with this goal," emphasized Adjoumani.
Côte d'Ivoire’s participation will be highlighted by the Ivorian Day, scheduled for Thursday, February 27. During this event, the Minister of State for Agriculture, the Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources, and the Minister of Water and Forests will hold a high-level conference on the theme: “Ivorian Agriculture, Today and Tomorrow.”
