AfDB Group and OPEC Fund Strengthen Partnership with $2 Billion Co-Financing Commitment

The African Development Bank Group and the The OPEC Fund for International Development signed today in Abidjan an amended Memorandum of Understanding, reinforcing their long-standing partnership and reflecting the OPEC Fund’s commitment to provide up to $2 billion in co-financing alongside the African Development Fund over the coming years.

The signing was followed by a presidential fireside chat, highlighting a shared focus on scaling finance, strengthening delivery, and advancing impactful investment across Africa.
Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement et le Fonds de l’OPEP pour le développement international ont signé aujourd’hui à Abidjan un protocole d’accord amendé, renforçant leur partenariat de longue date et reflétant l’engagement du Fonds de l’OPEP à mobiliser jusqu’à $2 milliards de cofinancements aux côtés du Fonds africain de développement au cours des prochaines années.

La signature a été suivie d’un dialogue entre les Présidents des deux institutions, mettant en avant une ambition commune : accroître l’échelle des financements, renforcer l’exécution et promouvoir des investissements à fort impact à travers l’Afrique.
