Côte d’Ivoire: CEPICI to Participate in Upcoming Ivorian Gabonese Economic Forum in October in Libreville

The Centre for the Promotion of Investments in Côte d'Ivoire (CEPICI) will represent the country at a business forum aimed at strengthening South-South economic cooperation, to be held on October 9 and 10, 2025, in Libreville, Gabon, according to a statement obtained by incotedivoire.net.

In preparation for the forum, a working session was recently held at the CEPICI headquarters. This meeting reflects the shared commitment of both countries to build a dynamic and opportunity-driven South-South economic partnership, the statement added.

Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1973, Côte d’Ivoire and Gabon have maintained strong ties of friendship and cooperation. Today, the new Gabonese authorities, under the leadership of President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, have expressed a clear desire to draw inspiration from Côte d’Ivoire’s development model. This aligns with the vision of President Alassane Ouattara, who aims to position Côte d’Ivoire as a benchmark for development in West Africa.

Held under the theme "Côte d’Ivoire – Gabon: A Model of South-South Economic Cooperation," this first edition of the forum aims to mobilize investments and create strategic partnerships between economic operators from both countries. Several key sectors are being targeted, including agriculture, agro-industry, infrastructure, renewable energy, mining, and digitalization.

The program will feature a high-level panel, thematic roundtables, B2B and B2G meetings, as well as site visits and tourist excursions. This represents a unique opportunity to showcase Ivorian expertise, promote investment opportunities in Gabon, and foster exchanges between the two economic ecosystems.

Furthermore, CEPICI will represent Côte d’Ivoire at this major event alongside strategic partners such as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire (CCI-CI), the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), the Ivorian Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises (FIPME), and the Unique Employers' Confederation of SMEs (CPU-PME).
