Côte d’Ivoire: Montage Gold Meets Ministry of Water and Forests on Koné Project and Reforestation Program

On Thursday, April 9, 2026, a delegation from Montage Gold, led by Executive Vice President for Exploration, Ms. Silvia Bottero, was received by the Minister of Water and Forests of Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. Jacques Assahoré Konan.

Discussions focused on the rapid progress of the Koné mining project, as well as the effective implementation of a 500-hectare compensatory reforestation program, in accordance with protocols established between the Ministry of Water and Forests and the Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Energy.

During the meeting, Montage Gold reaffirmed its commitment to environmental protection and proposed the official launch of the reforestation program in collaboration with the relevant authorities.

In his remarks, the Minister of Water and Forests commended the company for the progress already made and emphasized the continued support of government institutions to ensure the success of both the mining project and the associated environmental program.

For its part, Montage Gold expressed satisfaction with this institutional support, which it considers a key driver in its ambition to become a leading African gold producer while creating value for all stakeholders and maintaining strong environmental standards.
