Côte d’Ivoire: SIB and ENSEA Join Forces to Develop Talent for the Bank of Tomorrow

In Côte d’Ivoire, Société Ivoirienne de Banque (SIB) and the École Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Économie Appliquée (ENSEA) have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at developing high-level talent to meet the needs of tomorrow’s banking sector.

ENSEA relies on a dedicated academic and administrative staff to deliver training programs specifically designed to address the quantitative analysis needs of public administrations, international institutions, and the private sector.

The school’s excellence is reflected in several prestigious labels and distinctions. ENSEA has been recognized as a UEMOA Center of Excellence since 2005, an African Center of Excellence (ACE) of the World Bank since 2015, and an African Center of Excellence with Regional Impact (ACE Impact) of the French Development Agency (AFD) since 2020. It also received the Award for Excellence as the Best Public Administration in Côte d’Ivoire in 2017.

A member of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), ENSEA has established itself as a key player in French-speaking higher education. The institution also holds national, regional, and international accreditations that guarantee the quality of its programs. The Engineer-Statistician-Economist (ISE) program has been accredited by the French Engineering Accreditation Commission (CTI) since 2019, by ANAQ-ESR since 2022, and by CAMES since 2022. The Statistician Analyst (AS) program has been accredited by ANAQ-ESR since 2025.

At the institutional level, ENSEA has been accredited by the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCéres) since 2023 and by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) since 2024, both members of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). In addition, ISO 21001 certification, the international standard for management systems in educational organizations, is currently underway, further strengthening the school’s commitment to quality and academic governance.

ENSEA also stands out through strategic partnerships with world-renowned institutions, including the J-PAL laboratory—affiliated with the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics awarded to Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo, and Michael Kremer, all three co-founders of J-PAL—and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), within the framework of certification programs in public policy evaluation.

These distinctions place ENSEA at the heart of the global ecosystem of development economics research and make its graduates highly sought-after experts, well positioned to support innovation and transformation in the banking sector of Côte d’Ivoire and beyond.
