The 20 most profitable companies in Côte d’Ivoire recorded a combined profit of CFAF 1,764 billion in 2025, with the mining sector accounting for more than half of the total, according to a ranking published by Sika Finance.

Société des Mines d’Ity topped the ranking with CFAF 205 billion in profits, followed by Perseus Mining Yaouré, which recorded CFAF 190 billion. Their performance highlights the growing importance of gold mining in the Ivorian economy.

Eight mining companies featured among the top 20, generating a combined CFAF 911 billion in profits. This represents approximately 51.6% of the total profits recorded by the companies in the ranking.

The strong performance comes amid favourable conditions on international gold markets, where elevated prices have boosted revenues for mining companies.

The ranking also features some unexpected names. Air France is among the 20 most profitable companies operating in Côte d’Ivoire, with profits reportedly exceeding those of the Port Autonome d’Abidjan, the country's main port authority.

The Société Ivoirienne de Raffinage (SIR), the country's leading oil refinery, also features among the most profitable businesses, highlighting the importance of the energy sector in the national economy.

Overall, the figures point to a concentration of corporate profits in strategic sectors, particularly mining, hydrocarbons and transport. They also underscore the role of large-scale industrial and service companies in generating wealth within Côte d’Ivoire.
