Cape Town Business Trip 2025: Tapping into South African Opportunities from November 4 to 9
Ethik Communication officially launched the fourth edition of the Cape Town Business Trip on Wednesday, October 8, in Abidjan. Scheduled to take place from November 4 to 9, 2025, in South Africa, the initiative—supported by Wesgro, the official economic development agency of the Cape region—aims to strengthen economic ties between Côte d’Ivoire and the Rainbow Nation.
One month ahead of the event, business leaders and institutional partners, including the South Africa–Côte d’Ivoire Cooperation Office, gathered on October 9 in Cocody to discuss the key objectives of this year’s mission.
“We want to give our entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet their South African counterparts, learn from successful business models, and build lasting partnerships,” said Francis Dja, CEO of Ethik Communication and founder of the initiative. This fourth edition will feature economic forums, targeted B2B meetings, and an immersion at the Western Cape Investment Summit 2025. It will also include an Excellence Awards ceremony recognizing outstanding companies and institutions that demonstrate innovation and performance, Dja explained.
The event also received support from the Ministry of Trade and Industry, represented by Dr. Yao Silver Konan, Director-General for SME Promotion. “This initiative opens up new perspectives for financing, innovation, and cooperation. We must overcome language barriers and draw inspiration from successful models,” he emphasized.
Michael Gamwo, Wesgro’s Africa Director, highlighted the strategic importance of such collaborations: “Partnership between institutions is essential to strengthen African SMEs and encourage exports,” he stated.
