Income Tax: Government Ratifies Agreement to Prevent Double Taxation and Combat Tax Evasion

The Council of Ministers ratified, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan-Plateau, a convention signed on December 7, 2022, in Doha between Côte d’Ivoire and Qatar. The agreement aims to prevent double taxation and combat tax fraud and evasion related to income taxes.

According to government spokesperson Amadou Coulibaly, “this convention will help create more favorable conditions for the development of trade between the two countries and enable Côte d’Ivoire to benefit from the significant direct investment potential of the State of Qatar.”
