PND 2026-2030: Côte d'Ivoire and World Bank Sign 480 Billion FCFA Agreements

Abidjan, July 22, 2026 – On the sidelines of the Consultative Group meeting for the financing of the PND 2026-2030, held on July 8 and 9, 2026, at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, the Ivorian government signed five financing agreements with the World Bank representing a new commitment of nearly 875 million US dollars, or approximately 480 billion FCFA, announced the Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson, Amadou Coulibaly.

This was disclosed following the Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan-Plateau.

According to Amadou Coulibaly, these new funds allocated to Côte d'Ivoire cover key sectors including community development, private investment, employment, public resource management, and skills development.

He took the opportunity to recall that the sessions, held under the high authority of the President of the Republic and with the active presence of the Vice President of the Republic, brought together over 3,600 participants from 49 countries. These included high-ranking officials, major international financial institutions, multilateral development banks, investment funds, private investors, as well as technical and financial partners.

"These proceedings not only strengthened the understanding of the PND 2026-2030 priorities, but also highlighted our country's economic potential, expertise, and capacity for innovation," stated Amadou Coulibaly.

He added that the proceedings were marked by the significant volume of financial commitments announced by development partners: "These announcements, totaling 80 billion US dollars (47,820 billion FCFA), represent roughly four times the initial mobilization target of 20.3 billion US dollars, thereby far exceeding the Consultative Group's expectations."

The Council of Ministers once again welcomed the remarkable level of commitments and the strong alignment with Côte d'Ivoire's development priorities. This reflects the quality of the partnership between the country and multilateral institutions, bilateral partners, financial institutions, private investors, and all development stakeholders represented at the event.
