Côte d'Ivoire's Membership in the International Coconut Community (ICC) Approved by All Member States

The member states of the International Coconut Community (ICC) have unanimously approved Côte d'Ivoire's accession to the founding treaty of this major intergovernmental organization, which brings together coconut-producing countries.

"The Council has adopted a decree approving Côte d'Ivoire's membership in the International Coconut Community (ICC). During the 59th session of the ICC held in December 2023 in Indonesia, the member states of this important organization unanimously approved Côte d'Ivoire’s accession to the founding treaty," said government spokesperson Amadou Coulibaly.

This announcement was made following the Council of Ministers' meeting on Thursday, December 5, 2024, in Abidjan-Plateau.

Amadou Coulibaly, who is also the Minister of Communication, explained that this decree marks the effective membership of Côte d'Ivoire in the ICC. The move aims to further develop and enhance the coconut sector in synergy with other member countries.
