On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Côte d’Ivoire, Jeroen Kelderhuis, officially inaugurated the renovated building of the International Mission of Love Foundation Orphanage in the Marcory district of Abidjan.

In his remarks, Ambassador Kelderhuis congratulated Madame Koné Fidèle for her unwavering commitment, which continues to bring smiles to the faces of the center’s 25 residents. Established 20 years ago, the orphanage has provided care and support to more than 300 children over the years.

In addition to the renovation of the main building and the construction of a mezzanine, support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Côte d’Ivoire also enabled the purchase of school supplies and various household appliances, helping to improve the living conditions of the children.

The ceremony was attended by a representative of the Mayor of Marcory and a representative of the Ministry of Women, Family, and Children, who both commended the initiative as a model of partnership in community development and child welfare.
