Nigeria and the Federal Republic of Germany have signed a new development cooperation agreement worth €65 million. In addition, a €300 million credit line has been established to support private sector initiatives.
On Thursday, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Bagudu, and the Minister of State, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, joined senior officials from the German government, development institutions, and members of the diplomatic corps at the signing of the Summary of Government Negotiations between Nigeria and Germany, held at the German Embassy in Abuja. The event marked a major milestone in strengthening bilateral development cooperation between both countries.
Speaking on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Dr. Uzoka-Anite described the agreement as a reaffirmation of the longstanding partnership between Nigeria and the Federal Republic of Germany, built on mutual trust, shared priorities, and a common commitment to sustainable development and inclusive economic growth.
