The President of the Ivorian Basketball Federation, Moussa Diarra, is currently in Doha, Qatar, where the official draw ceremony for the continental qualifying groups for the 2027 FIBA World Cup was held today.

Present alongside top officials of the FIBA Board (including FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis) and basketball stars (including American Carmelo Anthony and Italian Luigi Datome), the President is participating in discussions on various topics related to the promotion and development of global basketball. He is accompanied by the Head of the Senior National Team, Sehidou Koné, and will remain in the Qatari capital until the conclusion of the FIBA congress, scheduled for Saturday, May 17.

It should be noted that Côte d'Ivoire is in Group B of the Africa zone for the 2027 World Cup qualifiers, along with Senegal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Madagascar.
