On Monday, May 12, 2025, Metch Silas Adje, Minister Delegate for Sports and Living Environment, received in his office (alongside his closest collaborators) the Ivorian Basketball Federation (FIBB), represented by Ms. Safiatou Traoré (First Vice President), and members of NBA Africa, led by CEO Clare Akamanzi.

The meeting aimed to establish a partnership in the field of sports in general—and basketball in particular—between the world’s most prestigious basketball league and the Ivorian government.

The NBA has several projects in sight, including the development of Ivorian basketball and the promotion of its sports economy by organizing more basketball-related events.

Both parties expressed strong enthusiasm for building a collaboration focused on the well-being of all stakeholders.
