Arriving at Villarreal in 2024, Nicolas Pépé has established himself as a valuable member of the 'Yellow Submarine' squad. The 30-year-old Ivorian winger has just extended his contract by two additional seasons, allowing him to stay at the club until June 2028.
Despite a quiet 2024-2025 season in terms of statistics 3 goals and 6 assists in 28 matches the former Arsenal player seems to have found balance in Spain, enough to convince the club’s management to continue their collaboration.
“The Ivorian forward has extended his contract with Villarreal CF for two more years. Villarreal CF has reached an agreement to renew the commitment of Nicolas Pépé, who will wear the Yellow Submarine jersey until June 2028,” the club announced.
Already tied to the club until 2026, Pépé has thus extended his deal early, a sign of mutual trust between the player and the management. This is a strategic choice to stabilize an attacking line weakened by the recent departures of Thierno Barry and Álex Baena.
Having played for Stade Poitevin, Angers, Orléans, Lille, Arsenal, Nice, and Trabzonspor before moving to Spain, Nicolas Pépé seems determined to write a new and lasting chapter of his career on the Mediterranean coast.
