Côte d'Ivoire: Racing Club d'Abidjan win National Cup ahead of ASEC Mimosas

Racing Club d’Abidjan has clinched the Côte d'Ivoire National Cup for the first time in its history. The capital city club secured a 1-0 victory with a goal from Bandama Yao Junior.

The 58th edition of the Côte d'Ivoire National Cup was held at the Stade de la Paix in Bouaké, featuring a match between ASEC Mimosas and Racing Club d’Abidjan. Thanks to a penalty goal scored by Bandama Yao Junior in the 73rd minute, the Abidjan club won by the narrowest of margins. Racing Club d’Abidjan thus claims its first National Cup title.

Meanwhile, ASEC Mimosas finishes the season without a trophy. The Sol Béni club will find solace in qualifying for the Confederation Cup next season.
