Ivory Coast Makes Key Player Substitution Ahead of CAN 2025 Qualifiers

The Ivorian Football Federation has announced a last-minute change to the national team roster ahead of the first and second matchdays of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers. Sébastien Haller, who was initially called up by Head Coach Emerse Faé, will be unavailable due to a recent transfer to CD Leganés in Spain.

Haller’s absence is due to his transfer being finalized just before the close of the transfer window, requiring him to complete a medical assessment with his new club. Consequently, the national team has called up Jean Evrard Kouassi to take his place in the squad.

Kouassi, known for his versatility and experience, is expected to bring fresh energy to the team as they embark on their qualification campaign for the tournament in Morocco.

The Ivorian Football Federation assures fans and the media that the team remains focused and prepared for the upcoming matches.
