Ouattara Holds Talks with CMA CGM Chief on Strategic Cooperation
The President of Côte d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, met with Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and CEO of CMA CGM, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, as part of ongoing engagements with international economic partners.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the Ivorian government and the global shipping and logistics group, which has an established presence in West Africa. Discussions are understood to have covered investment opportunities, port infrastructure, and the development of logistics services in the country.
CMA CGM, one of the world’s leading maritime transport companies, plays a key role in facilitating trade flows across Africa, including in Côte d’Ivoire, where port activity is central to the national economy.
The talks come as Abidjan continues efforts to position itself as a regional logistics hub, supported by ongoing modernization of transport infrastructure and partnerships with major global operators.
