2024-2025 Rubber Campaign: Certification of Weighbridges in Côte d'Ivoire Launched in Gagnoa

On Friday, September 13, 2024, at Ony-Tabré (Gagnoa), the Rubber-Palm Oil Council of Côte d'Ivoire officially launched the sticker placement for certified weighbridges for the 2024-2025 rubber campaign.

The official placement of the certification plaque on the weighbridge was carried out by the Prefect of the Gôh region and Prefect of Gagnoa, Fofana Lancina, along with the Head of Commercialization at the Rubber-Palm Oil Council, Touré Derioth Sidney.

According to Touré Derioth Sidney, the sticker placed on the first weighbridges has been replaced with a secure plaque made from a material resistant to both sun and rain, and it is firmly affixed. He assured that this plaque will allow all stakeholders to recognize that the weighbridge meets the standards set by the Ministry of Commerce and is reliable.

He reminded everyone that the goal of certified weighbridges is to ensure that planters receive the exact value of their efforts. “From this day on, you must only deliver your products to weighbridges equipped with certified plaques,” he advised.

The Ony-Tabré weighbridge, in the Gagnoa regional delegation, is one of the certified weighbridges across the entire Ivorian territory, spread across six regional delegations of the Rubber-Palm Oil Council. From September 4 to September 18, a total of 1,184 plaques will be placed on certified weighbridges throughout Côte d'Ivoire.

As reminder Gagnoa is the capital of the Gôh-Djiboua district, capital of the eponymous department and of the Gôh region, located in west-central Côte d'Ivoire.
