Côte d’Ivoire to host 2027 U.S.-Africa Business Summit

Côte d’Ivoire will host the 2027 U.S.-Africa Business Summit, bringing the Corporate Council on Africa’s flagship gathering on trade, investment and commercial partnerships to French-speaking West Africa for the first time.

The announcement was made on Monday during the Côte d’Ivoire Business and Investment Forum in New York, held on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly. A hosting agreement was signed as part of the event.

The Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) said Côte d’Ivoire’s economy, strategic position and experience in hosting international events were among the factors supporting its selection as host.

The 2027 summit will bring together senior government officials, business leaders and investors from the United States and Africa to discuss trade, investment and commercial partnerships. The programme will focus on sectors including agribusiness, infrastructure, energy, financial services, healthcare, technology and manufacturing.

CCA President and CEO Florizelle Liser said the summit would take place in a market and region offering new opportunities for greater U.S.-Africa commercial engagement.

For Côte d’Ivoire, hosting the event will provide an opportunity to showcase its economy and investment opportunities to an international audience and to position Abidjan as a hub for U.S.-West Africa commercial engagement.

Vice President Tiémoko Meyliet Koné said Côte d’Ivoire was ready to welcome the business community to Abidjan, describing the summit as an opportunity to highlight the country’s position as a potential gateway to a dynamic market and to create new investment and partnership opportunities.

The four-day summit will feature high-level discussions, sector-focused sessions, business-to-business and business-to-government meetings, investor engagements and networking activities aimed at developing partnerships.

The event will continue the CCA’s stated objective of moving U.S.-Africa economic relations beyond dialogue toward investment, partnerships and concrete commercial outcomes.

The 2027 summit will follow previous editions held in Luanda in 2025, Dallas in 2024 and Gaborone in 2023. The 2026 edition is scheduled to take place in Mauritius from Dec. 6 to 9.

The CCA has yet to announce the exact dates, venue and detailed programme for the 2027 summit.
